Writer is seeking an experienced Developer Experience (DX) Engineer with a strong technical writing background to join our Developer Relations team at Writer and deliver world class developer experience through our documentation and SDKs.
You will work with AI and software engineers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure that our SDKs and documentation are of the highest quality.

Your responsibilities: Deliver world class developer experience through our documentation and SDKs. Manage the production API spec in coordination with the backend engineering team, used for API reference documentation and SDK development. Manage implementation of new API endpoints as features of our SDKs. Coordinate SDK releases with the backend and Writer Framework engineering teams. Develop and update technical documentation for Writer AI Studio, including Writer's no-code tools, Writer Framework, API, and SDKs, with a primary emphasis on Python and secondary focus on JavaScript/TypeScript. Review and refine documentation and code examples for clarity and adherence to our style guide. Proactively maintain and improve the documentation site, seeking customer feedback along the way to increase the effectiveness of our developer experience. Improve SDK and documentation processes, driving quality and innovation. Independently and proactively manage projects in coordination with the team, adhering to deadlines and contributing to our overall Developer Experience strategy. You are obsessed with developer experience and deeply understand the critical importance of the first few minutes of a developer's encounter with a product through documentation, tooling, and examples. You bring at least five years of experience as a Developer Experience Engineer, Technical Writer, software developer, or related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful developer tools and documentation. You have a strong background in Python, with additional proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript. You are proficient in OpenAPI specifications, YAML, MDX, Markdown, and Git workflows, enabling you to create efficient and interactive documentation. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You quickly adapt to new domains and are able to communicate complex ideas and concepts effectively. You are able to work independently and collaboratively. You put the reader first, ensuring documentation is accessible and engaging. You understand and apply various content types effectively in your technical writing. Preferred skills:
