Location: Hybrid, USA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $94,000 - $124,000 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

Summary

As an AI Engineering Consultant, you will be critical in building and delivering new AI capabilities and integrations into new or existing products within the OneStream platform. You will sit at the intersection of the application engineering team, the implementation delivery team, and the AI engine team and will be tasked with going end to end-in a product-market-fit lifecycle.

The AI Product and Engineering team is focused on bridging the gap between AI research and AI products, bringing tangible and quantifiable value to our end users. Our AI solutions incorporate AI and machine learning spectrum, including (but not limited to) time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and natural language processing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable AI integrations, applications, and services that interop with other existing OneStream products to "supercharge" existing applications with AI capabilities.
  • Must be a self-starter, continuously learning both best code practices and the latest applications and failures of AI in products, and domains of the products you integrate our AI capabilities into.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from the user interface to the database layer to ensure the reliability of the AI integrations delivered.
  • Participate and eventually lead design sessions to decompose a business problem into a design complex systems and interfaces, ensuring they meet both technical and user requirements.
  • Develop both client-side and server-side parts of an application.
  • Rapidly prototype capabilities to prove product-market-fit opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Enable other developers and consulting partner firms to build AI capabilities on top of our AI offering.
  • From time to time, lead and consult on AI customer implementations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data science, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • CS/DS/EE/CE Degree or similar experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience building and deploying production-level machine learning solutions or similar experience.
  • 1-3 years of strong programming experience with one of the following: Python, C++, C, CSharp, Java, Rust, or Go (or similar experience).

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in delivery/consulting services.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-based computing.
  • Experience with data storytelling and Python data visualization packages (plotly, dash, seaborn, etc.).

  • Self-starter to decompose a problem and plan into a solution.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changes in technology and the business environment.
  • Highly adaptive to changing circumstances, with the ability to tackle problems quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, scheduling, project management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • An unrelenting willingness to learn new AI, computer science, and domain concepts.
  • Comfortable conveying your ideas and leading calls with customers, business executives, and other stakeholders.
  • Interest in continuous learning opportunities as the space continues to evolve.
  • Capable and comfortable effectively presenting in front of your peers.
  • Comfortable engaging and presenting to C-level executives from time to time.

Travel

  • Minimal travel will be required.
