Job Title:
Diesel Mechanic (Cummins & Caterpillar Experience) Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of diesel engines, including Cummins and Caterpillar, within the building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing diesel engines used in heavy machinery, trucks, and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition for construction and material handling operations. Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on diesel engines, with a focus on Cummins and Caterpillar models. Work on a variety of equipment, including construction vehicles, loaders, excavators, mixers, and material handling machinery. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engine systems such as fuel, exhaust, electrical, cooling, and air intake systems. Conduct routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts inventory. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the workplace. Collaborate with team members to meet repair deadlines and keep machinery running at peak performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with a focus on Cummins and Caterpillar engines. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for various diesel engine systems. Experience working in the building materials or construction industry is a plus. Knowledge of relevant repair tools, equipment, and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, Caterpillar, Cummins) preferred.
