Key Position Details:
Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiology EP Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the practice.
- Base hours - 10-hour workdays plus short call.
- Inpatient cardiac EP lab/EP service.
- Future weekend rounding required.
- May work between Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and United Hospital in St. Paul.
Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical care for patients
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
Preferred Qualifications:
- New graduates may be considered. Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or ICU.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
- Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $147,600 to $180,400 per yearThe pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).Benefit Summary
