As the Sourcing Manager, you will spearhead the formulation and implementation of innovative sourcing strategies, driving cost reductions, and accelerate Ascent's growth to unimaginable and sustainable heights.
Principle Duties:
- Lead the development of multi-year global category plans/strategies (Source to Strategy) across a complex category portfolio to reduce total delivered costs, mitigate headwinds, and improve supply security.
- Develop contract strategies (Source to Contract) and effectively negotiate key commercial and supply positions for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and indirect to ensure the best sourcing position for Ascent.
- Effectively implements strategic supplier strategies and initiatives, while also building partnerships with suppliers to manage performance, quality improvement, productivity, and service level.
- Create and support the development of new strategic sourcing infrastructure in conjunction with various functions to ensure supplier availability at the required quality and cost levels.
- Provides coaching and feedback on the Total Delivered Cost sourcing process to build capability and mature practices across the entire Strategic Sourcing team.
- Lead the end-to-end Total Delivered Cost sourcing process including spend and market analytics, wave planning, strategy development and execution.
- Effectively communicate sourcing strategies, results, and metrics to upper management.
- Take part in multiple cross-functional teams executing major category initiatives and ensure delivery of maximum value across the procurement processes, contribute to development and monitoring of metrics, and support the translation of evolving category market trends and leading practices into growth opportunities for Ascent.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to business management to support top line growth, margin, and cash conversion cycle objectives
- Lead, coach and develop direct and other assigned indirect team members.
- The strong performer will be recognized as procurement strategy expert and will collaborate with supply chain, RDE, quality, planning, logistics, and suppliers in order to identify and drive total delivered cost savings, security of supply, innovation and process improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, or other equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
- 2+ years of sourcing strategy development, negotiation, and contract management experience
- Humble, hungry, smart - unapologetic acknowledgment of strengths and weaknesses, insatiable hunger for proactive growth, and a relentless commitment to emotional intelligence and strategic collaboration
- Demonstrated ability in leading sourcing initiatives from strategy to execution and delivering results
- Demonstrated business, financial and analytical acumen to interpret complex data and proficiency in written and verbal communication to effectively convey actionable insights to others
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required, including advanced expertise in Excel
