What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to provide M&E technical and advisory services to the Department of State. The candidate will contribute to the overall monitoring and evaluation agenda for the client, including the definition and administration of relevant M&E products, development of learning agendas, and monitoring activities. The candidate will assist the Department to evaluate program performance to understand how they impact the wider learning agendas and inform decision making and will conduct country-level assessments to inform future program design and decisions.
The individual will be part of a cross functional team, contribute to technical/ management meetings and workshops with clients and support the development and implementation of project work plans. The candidate will contribute to developing evaluation designs and data collection instruments and processes, data management, conducting data collection, reviewing and synthesizing documents, and analyzing data. S/he will support the development of tasks and deliverables, and coordinate with the larger team on various deliverables to include, but not limited to, monitoring and results frameworks, program evaluations, assessments, presentations, and various reports.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

What You Will Need:
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree and SEVEN (7) years of relevant monitoring and evaluation experience OR a Master's Degree and FIVE (5) years of relevant monitoring and evaluation experience
- Ability to travel internationally a few times per year
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Masters Degree
- Experience with foreign assistance-funded programs and requirements
- Demonstrated experience in the writing and briefing styles of the Department of State
- Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Experience monitoring and evaluating programs in the security sector
- Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience in an international setting
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with technical writing or report production
- Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder sessions
