Our client is seeking a Field Support Engineer to join their team. As a Field Support Engineer, you will be part of the Technical Support team supporting the Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer-facing experience, outstanding communication skills, and strong knowledge of scripting language which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

Provide installation and post-installation support of Solutions, e.g. Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems. Responsible for system support to include first/second/third level software support, as well as hardware support. Take control and make necessary decisions to resolve routine situations with minimal impact to the customer. Provide installation, post-installation, and ongoing maintenance support at specified customer location. Responsible for total system hardware and software support. What's Needed?

Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Support with a self-rating of level 1-5, 5 being the highest. Computer software/hardware troubleshooting skills of proprietary biometrics applications, scripting windows and linux. Excellent customer-facing experience and outstanding communication skills. Strong knowledge of scripting language. Willingness to travel to customer location (Sacramento area) and take support calls after hours. What's in it for me?

This is a contract-to-hire role. This is a hybrid (client site and remote) until further notice. Good team work, great documentation skills, process improvement. Good to have proprietary biometric application experience. Opportunity to work with internal and external (end users) teams. Candidate must have hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, Database, and Networking Diagnostic.
