Job Description

Role Overview:

Bellevue's Physician Assistant Service operates independently from house staff, providing 24/7 coverage with PAs supervised by attending physicians. The service consists of general internal medicine teams and one pulmonology team.

Work Schedule: Three 12.5-hour night shifts per week

(7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with some weekend responsibilities. Additional moonlighting opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver clinical care in collaboration with attending physicians Conduct patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, for new admissions under the supervision of an attending physician. Attend daily clinical rounds with the attending physician. Perform all related clinical tasks efficiently, adhering to high-quality standards. Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans that prioritize patient and family preferences, while improving care quality and cost-effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; or 2. Current limited permit issued by New York State to practice as a Physician Assistant.
