Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Category Manager to lead the strategic sourcing and supplier management for our indirect materials portfolio. This role encompasses managing mobile vehicle leases, fleet management, CapEx project suppliers, internal travel contracts, and building lease agreements. The Category Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing supplier performance, ensuring cost efficiencies, and aligning procurement activities with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Mobile Vehicle Leasing & Fleet Management
Develop and implement strategies for mobile vehicle leases and fleet management across all plant operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fleet efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Internal Travel Contracts
Oversee corporate travel contracts, ensuring seamless integration and cost-effective solutions for business travel needs. Establish relationships with travel service providers to negotiate favorable terms and enhance employee satisfaction.
Building Lease Contracts
Manage a portfolio of building lease agreements, ensuring alignment with operational needs and cost control measures. Work with legal and finance teams to negotiate leases, manage renewals, and monitor compliance.
CapEx Project Supplier Management
Partner with the Project Management Office (PMO) to identify, source, and manage suppliers for capital expenditure projects. Drive supplier performance through effective contract negotiations, risk management, and KPI tracking.
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management
Develop and execute category strategies for indirect materials in alignment with corporate goals. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement. Monitor market trends and supplier innovations to leverage opportunities for competitive advantage.
Financial and Performance Reporting
Develop and manage budgets for assigned categories, delivering on cost reduction and value creation targets. Implement performance metrics and reporting tools to measure supplier and category performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM) preferred. 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, preferably in indirect materials. Demonstrated success in managing complex supplier relationships and achieving cost savings. Strong contract negotiation and risk management skills. Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP) and advanced reporting tools (e.g., Tableau). Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
