General Summary: Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, the Sr. Accountant primary responsibilities include conducting month-end close and reconciliations, collaborating with the multiple teams to resolve discrepancies, and preparing journal entries for accurate and timely financial accounts. The role also involves working closely with the Treasury for reporting and cash forecasting, reviewing and improving Accounts Payable processes, and reconciling discrepancies between the Oracle system and bank records.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Conduct month-end reconciliations with precision and accuracy Collaborate with multiple teams to research and resolve reconciling items, undertaking thorough investigations when necessary Prepare and submit journal entries during the month and at month-end to ensure accurate and timely financial accounts Analyze, interpret, and understand financial data to ensure reported amounts are accurate and aligned with expectations Collaborate with software development team for process improvement and automation initiatives across responsible areas Perform monthly GL account trend analysis, investigating and addressing any variances in responsible accounts Take ownership of responsibilities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and actively seeking opportunities for process improvement Champion process improvements within the accounting function, identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements and implementing changes to drive optimal results Perform other duties as assigned Required Travel: If the job requires overnight travel, what percentage of time is spent away from home base? 10%

Essential Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred. 3-5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards. Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience in successfully managing audits and driving process improvements. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Advanced Excel skills Proficiency in completing month-end reconciliations for various account types Familiarity with Oracle Ability to collaborate with other departments to research reconciling items, including in-depth research during clean-up activities Capability to enhance the problematic processes and reconcile discrepancies or variances in financial analysis or reconciliations Proficiency in performing monthly General Ledger (GL) account trend analysis and investigating variances in relevant accounts Demonstrate ability to work independently and proactively seek solutions and process improvements Must possess high quality verbal and written communication and organizational skills Ownership mindset, committed to resolving issues to completion rather than passing responsibility Competence in creating, executing, and assessing functional skills training that supports business objectives. Aptitude for managing fluctuating priorities and handling multiple projects within deadlines. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Salesforce, and Google Suite.
