Job Description
As the Group Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining consistent accounting practices across a diverse portfolio of companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving accounting best practices. Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting:
Lead the month-end close process for both the holding company and portfolio companies, preparing consolidated financial reports and developing insights to support company leaders. Accounting Best Practices:
Implement and maintain standardized accounting practices across the portfolio, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and accurate financial statement preparation. Financial Performance Analysis:
Create reports to inform leaders of financial performance, opportunities for growth, and areas of improvement. Support and Onboarding:
Assist in the financial onboarding process for newly acquired companies and support audit, tax, and M&A workstreams. Cross-functional Leadership:
Lead or support organization-wide initiatives such as system migrations, process improvements, and compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with accounting guidelines and business objectives. Experience:
4+ years of experience in public or private accounting, private equity, or related fields, with increasing responsibility. Experience with financial audits and preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements is essential. Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analysis, financial modeling, and budgeting, with the ability to turn complex financial data into actionable insights. Leadership and Communication:
Strong project leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Attention to Detail:
