Primary Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Market Research Analyst will join the Business Planning and Strategic Insights Team to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role involves conducting comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and customer cohort studies to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement. The analyst will leverage data-driven insights to support business initiatives, focusing on client's performance and competitive positioning.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis

Conduct in-depth research on the Macro Retail industry to identify trends, market size, and growth potential, particularly in tech categories. Analyze market conditions, customer preferences, and competitive offerings. Track and report on key indicators, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Competitor Analysis

Examine competitor strategies, product offerings, and market positioning. Identify SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of client's competitors to guide strategic planning. Keep updated on industry best practices and emerging trends for maintaining a competitive advantage. Customer Cohort Analysis

Evaluate customer demographics and behaviors using tools like Checkout data to identify opportunities for growing client's market share. Develop customer personas to inform marketing strategies and product development initiatives. Data Collection and Reporting

Collect and organize data from sources such as Circana, analyst reports, dashboards, databases, and webinars. Create comprehensive reports and presentations, using tools like Tableau and Keynote, to communicate findings to stakeholders. Present complex data in an accessible, visually engaging format. Strategic Recommendations

Offer actionable insights based on research findings to support business strategy formulation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives and monitor their outcomes. Stay informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies to predict and adapt to market shifts. Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory. Professional Experience:

Proven track record as a Market Research Analyst or similar role in market research or strategy. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and advanced Excel functions. Hands-on experience with Tableau and familiarity with databases. Soft Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and delivering presentations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration capabilities.

Pay Rate: $44 to $46.85 per hour.
