DescriptionOur client is a prominent and growing global investment firm specializing in private equity and real estate.Position Overview:The Vice President, Portfolio Accounting will play a vital role in managing the financial reporting processes for the firm’s investment portfolios. This position offers the chance to work with cross-functional teams and support key business decisions while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and investor requirements.This role is ideal for a resourceful, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Responsibilities:Oversee accurate U.S. GAAP financial reporting for private real estate investment accounts, including:Consolidation and combination accounting.Foreign currency translations.Joint venture accounting and acquisition/sale transactions.Fee calculations and non-controlling interest accounting.Review quarterly property reports prepared by third-party managers to ensure compliance with accounting policies.Analyze financial operations, identify variances, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors.Partner with teams across finance, asset management, investments, and investor relations to guide accounting decisions and disclosures.Manage the annual external audit process, including audits in international jurisdictions, and meet all deadlines.Oversee property management fee reviews and year-end reconciliation billings.Prepare monthly cash forecasts for assigned accounts.Foster strong relationships with third-party property managers and investment stakeholders.Support additional projects and initiatives as directed by leadership.Work Schedule:Hybrid arrangement – 2 days in-office per week.RequirementsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.7–10+ years of relevant experience; candidates with fewer years will not be considered.Strong preference for candidates with Big 4/Top 7 public/private accounting experience.Background in private equity or real estate investments is highly desirable.CPA certification is preferred but not required.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong technical accounting expertise.Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Why work with Our Client?Join a globally recognized firm with a strong reputation in private equity and real estate.Be part of a collaborative and growth-focused culture.Access opportunities for professional development and skill-building.Contribute to impactful global investment projects in an expanding organization.If you’re a seasoned accounting professional seeking a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply!Job typePerm
