Job Overview
The Forklift Operator III will perform all of the duties of the Forklift Operator II and will be trusted to train new teammates and ensure they are properly trained, including completion of computer-based training and on-the-job training. Consistently understands and successfully demonstrates Coke Consolidated build strategies, product quality expectations, and safety protocols. In addition to the responsibilities above these individuals are also expected to perform the general Forklift Operator II responsibilities below. The Forklift Operator III would be expected to attend instructor-led training for Captain Certification.
The Forklift Operator II is responsible for various assignments, duties, and tasks within the Warehouse which primarily require the use of PIT Equipment other than a Pallet Jack, including, but not limited to, pallet building, Inbound Unloading, Outbound Loading, Replenishment of the Pick Floor or Vertique Mezzanine Areas, Layer Line Operation, and/or Trailer Switching. This position is also responsible for the fulfillment of Customer Orders by retrieving and stacking specific product and quantities as specified on the Pick Ticket/Computer Screen assigned on a pre-determined conveyor and/or pallet. This is accomplished by traveling throughout the Warehouse's Pick Area and building stable pallet(s) of product, meeting or exceeding Warehouse/Company expectations in regard to safety, accuracy, and efficiency. This position will also perform other tasks assigned by Warehouse Management including, but not limited to, pallet stacking, handling damage restack and/or rework, stacking product, and picking up "down" pallets - utilizing a Pallet Jack when applicable.
Schedule: Monday - Saturday
First Shift: 11am - 5pm
Second Shift: 5pm - 11pm
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist new hire onboarding training that includes role-specific and computer-based training. Provides feedback and updates on training process to manager/supervisor, and/or provides recommendations for additional training time if needed. Continues to train existing Forklift Operators I and II for improved safety practices and/or operating skills. Unloads Inbound Product, Raw Materials, and/or Deposit Items; transports such from the Docks to their designated Storage Areas within the Warehouse in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Loads Outbound Product and/or Deposit items; transports such from their assigned Storage Area within the Warehouse to the Loading Docks and places on the appropriate Trailers in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Replenishes Product to the Warehouse Pick Area, Vertique Mezzanine Area, and/or Layer Line Area by transporting such from their assigned Storage Areas within the Warehouse to their specific assigned Location (Bin) within the Pick Area, Vertique Mezzanine Area, and/or Layer Line Area in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Creates Layer Pallets as specified by the Layer Tickets assigned and/or supporting the Layer Line Operation. Transports Full and Empty Trailers to designated Docks and/or Drop Parking Spaces in the Yard. Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse, performs other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management. May perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to collaborate within a team environment. Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes. Ability to adapt to needs of role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas. Ability to read and interpret instructions from computer screen. Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages. Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled (Hot in summer/Cold in winter) environment. Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities. Flexibility (Schedules/Hours change with the demands of the business). Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 1 to 3 years work experience PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, Hy-jaws/Ty-Guard, Triple-Double, and Switch Tractor, Scrubber
