We are headquartered in Austin, Texas, and provide electricity and water for more than a million people, protecting them from flooding on 600 miles of Texas' Colorado River, and manage 11,000+ acres of parks. Technology is a critical cornerstone for all that we do.
This position will be responsible for the design development, configuration, and operational support of the enterprise system integrations and applications. You will be part of the System Integration developer's team working closely with the Architecture, Applications teams and business stakeholders resolving technology and business needs that require data integration.
Project implementation responsibilities include evaluation, installation and testing off-the-shelf pre-packaged software. As part of your duties, you will deliver training to end users and system owners as needed and act as technical work package manager for portions of projects and project manager for system implementations. You will also provide input to Software Architecture in designing system architecture for large complex enterprise-wide applications and technical solutions.
This position uses in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience to provide and improve services and often requires taking a new perspective to solve complex problems.
You will be trusted to:
- Design, build, and maintain data integrations.
- Coordinate integration implementation with key teams.
- Develop new software applications.
- Customize existing software programs.
- Coordinate software development activities.
- Design, code, test, and deploy integrations for on-prem and cloud applications using an integration framework.
- Provide on-call support for integration applications and server issues.
- Work with business SMEs for technical requirement analysis and develop web services specifications for the new integration projects.
- Perform security updates by renewing SFTP and encryption keys.
- Implement bug fixes and requirement updates from the vendor software to maintain existing integrations.
- Assist with production support and development of integration for the following business applications: Identity Management System, PeopleSoft Finance and HR, Qualtrics, Maximo Asset Management, and Supply Chain Management.
- Utilize the following technologies: Oracle SOA BPEL, OSB, Mulesoft, Java, Webservices, SOAP, and REST API Development, WSDL, XSD, XSLT, X-Query, XML/JSON Standards, (DB, HTTP, SOAP, JMS, File, SFTP) based backend interfaces, WebLogic Server, and Unix.
In connection with above duties, use experience in developing and programming/coding software application with current industry accepted toolsets and languages and support of custom coded software, applications and off-the-shelf pre-packages software solutions; development skills in Java, Web Services (SOAP and REST), XML, XPath, XSLT, and SQL; using SVN, Ant, Apache and Microsoft IIS Web servers; Oracle Fusion SOA Suite, a web services orchestration such as BPEL and use of Enterprise Service Bus or Mulesoft; installing, configuring, and maintaining application servers such as WebLogic; and Linux, Unix, and Windows administrative tasks.
You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in developing and programming/coding software applications or relevant experience. A degree(s) in computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
- Knowledge of software and system design, architectures, infrastructure, and development methodologies
- Strong knowlege of multiple programming languages (JavaScript, Java, C#, GoLang, Python).
- Expertise in building SOA ESB Orchestration and Integration Technologies
- Knowledge of web service technologies including XML, XSD, WSDL, XPath, XSLT
- Experience with Oracle Fusion SOA Suite 11g,12c, Oracle Service Bus
- Experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Studio
- Knowledge of business analysis and user requirements gathering
- Skill in verbal and written communication
- Advanced skill level in software debugging and troubleshooting toolsets
- Ability to work in a team environment
