Dev Technology Group is recruiting a Senior Business Analyst/Tester to support the development of robotic process automation solutions to help relieve the huge administrative task burden on our customer. The candidate must be able to perform business analysis and testing in an environment where priorities change daily. The candidate must be able to push through roadblocks to document processes when SMEs may need help understanding the processes themselves. The ideal candidate must work independently and collaboratively and is interested in supporting an important government mission.
What You'll Be Doing
You will work as an Agile development team member, performing business analysis and testing tasks, while acting as a Scrum Master with a priority on clearing blockers. You will work together with team members and stakeholders to analyze, design, and test solutions that meet the client's needs. In support of this project and the customer's mission, you will do the following: Learn the functionality of the underlying systems and how the end-users use them so that we can automate these processes Build relationships with stakeholders and collaborate to understand needs and priorities Create business process flow diagrams, screen mock-ups, and other UML diagrams to elicit requirements Document requirements and refine User Stories in Jira Perform as a liaison between the developers and the end-users to clarify requirements and ensure the design of the automation solutions meets the requirements Perform integration, functional qualification, and regression testing, as well as support user acceptance testing Monitor tasks and ensure team members are on track, assisting to help clear blockers as needed Lead and take notes in meetings and Agile Scrum ceremonies, such as Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review/Planning, and Sprint Retrospectives Help enhance our operational processes to improve efficiency Create SOPs for officers to run our robotic process automation (RPA) solutions Collaborate with clients to understand any issues with the automation solutions, clearly document the issues, and work with a developer to troubleshoot the issues Maintain and improve the organization of our Confluence collaborative site Assist with determining metrics to provide insight into project success and compiling these metrics Perform quality assurance and review work of peers Identify and communicate areas for improvement in the applications, customer business processes, and internal team operations Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of related experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing skills Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment and general knowledge of the software development lifecycle Experience documenting process flows and using business process and data visualization techniques and tools Experience working with clients to understand the business process/requirements and developers to implement the process/requirements into an application Experience using Jira and Confluence Experience assessing application functionality, creating test cases/scripts, performing testing of the functionality, and documenting test results Experience performing the major types of software testing and detailed testing methods across the different types Experience collaborating with developers to design solutions to meet business needs Proven leadership skills - must be able to function as the deputy project manager at times Demonstrated critical thinking skills - must be able to clearly define a problem or need, objectively analyze data around it, and use logical reasoning to draw well-supported conclusions/solutions Experience analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions Experience using UML tools/techniques Experience leading meetings and taking detailed notes Detail-oriented and capable of producing a high level of accuracy Strong interpersonal skills, practicing diplomacy and professionalism in all situations A team player who takes initiative, but can work independently Solid organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with Lean principles, SAFe, and Kanban or other Agile methodologies besides Scrum Experience supporting a Federal Government client Experience supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software - UIPath is a bonus Experience with an automated testing tool Who We Are
