Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist - Level III to join our team in the DC, VA, MD area. This role involves ensuring adherence to best practices in configuration management, maintaining configuration baselines, utilizing configuration management tools, and complying with change control processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuration management and relevant certifications. *This role is 100% onsite Responsibilities: Follow standard best practices in Configuration Management.
Maintain complete traceability of configurable items deployed in support of office automation, network and system management, and other assets using the an asset management system like ServiceNow. Assist in maintaining configuration baselines. Document all configuration items and changes. Provide input to regular Configuration Control Boards. Adhere to configuration change processes and procedures. Support formal configuration base lining processes as defined by Enterprise Configuration Managers. Ensure hardware and software revisions are fully documented, including functionality and interfaces with other systems/tools. Assist in establishing new configurable items (CIs) with new releases of systems or infrastructure changes. Ensure complete traceability from one stage of production to the next. Utilize the CM module within the preferred MHS ITSM Tool (currently ServiceNow) to monitor, maintain, and enhance CIs. Ensure that all work products (systems, infrastructures, and/or services) are adequately documented, stored, and managed within the Configuration Management Databases (CMDB). Control changes to work products, systems, infrastructures, and services. Record and report change processing and implementation status. Verify compliance with specific requirements for changes. Follow all processes and procedures for capturing, processing, and reporting the status of proposed changes to site supported systems, components, and databases. Use the Government preferred configuration management tool (currently MHS ServiceNow ITSM Change Management Module) to document and schedule all changes. Schedule associated downtimes for the release of changes into the enterprise. Assist, as directed by the Government Task Manager, with monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement efforts of CIs.
Qualifications
Required One or more of the following (IAM II)
CAP CASP+ CE
CISM
CISSP (or Associate)
GSLC
CCISO
HCISPP
Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency Preferred Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred #LI-Onsite About Us
