Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing business growth opportunities within a designated region. This role involves expanding the company's market presence, building relationships with key clients, and driving sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Research on a continuous basis entire territory to identify target accounts and applications that can benefit from the utilization of Lamons products and solutions. Acts as a resource to the applicable Lamons Account Manager to present, educate, specify, and implement product solutions. Builds and maintains strong relationships with current and prospective clients, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions and negotiations. Reports on a continual basis the status of Lamons product sales in their respective region utilizing Salesforce CRM, Tableau, and any other Lamons initiated resource. Works closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, finance, and operations to develop regional strategies aimed at increasing market share and achieving financial objectives. Maintains growth trajectory and continued margin enhancement to overall products. Coordinates frequent calls on end users and distributors either individually or with other sales personnel. Completes frequent visits with current and potential clients within assigned region to assist with customer needs. Manages CRM Salesforce database and ensures that local sales group is utilizing quotation functionality and customer contact database functionality. Establish and review budget goals weekly with Director of Business Development on a continual basis. Assist in pricing strategies specific to their applicable regions with national considerations. Conduct Quarterly Business Review (QBR) with top 10 clients. Provides timely monthly report to management to demonstrate successes, challenges, status of sales by product and growth initiatives currently underway. Job Specifications Skills Knowledge of gasket and/or fastener industry, ISO requirements for gasket industry a plus. Deep understanding of selling techniques which include the ability to negotiate, motivate, persuade and the ability to perform effective presentations Conflict Resolution & Problem-Solving Skills Strategic thinking with the ability to create actionable plans. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and present in front of various group sizes with the intent to persuade the audience. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions. Strong organizational skills Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field. Preferred: Formal Sales Training Program. Work Experience Required: 7 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the region or industry of focus. Preferred: Prior gasket and bolts industry experience. Preferred: Experience working with manufacturing facilities, customers and suppliers in multiple global regions is a plus. Knowledge Based
The Regional Sales Manager must know how to operate CRM software (comparable to Salesforce or Syteline) for purpose of communicating with clients. The Regional Sales Manager must have knowledge of Computerized Information Systems including software and hardware to adapt to current and future system implementations. Physical Requirements Must have mental capacity to solve complex problems with a highly developed sense of urgency. Ability to travel domestically at minimum 60% of the time based on a 40-hour work week using the quickest available mode of transportation. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
