The Systems Engineering and Verification Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. It covers engineers who are performing Development, Systems Engineering and Verification style roles. This is an integration role where the individual will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to successfully develop robust, verified engineering solutions against robust validated customer requirements.

In this role you will be the point of contact with the project to support and coach the team regarding Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviors within the project. You will interface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements including business, technical customers and partners.

Key Accountabilities: Interface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements including business, technical customers and partners Create an appropriate Enterprise Architecture solution which serves both business and technical needs. Set the Systems Engineering and Verification approach for an Engineering Program through the relevant management plan (i.e. Configuration Management Plan). Establish / manage appropriate (Requirements, Design Rationale Evidence, Design Definition and Verification Information) R-E-D-V structure that joins information across all areas involved (Customer, Business, System, Sub-System and Component) for the project. Ensure sufficient rigor is put into requirements validation and verification, to remove technical risk. Ensure R-E-D-V health data reports from Validation and Verification activities is used to drive the engineering program schedule and to remove technical risk. Develop product verification strategy, structured verification plan and Product Development Plan. Define and deliver robust certification and qualification strategies (for organizations which are design authority) Manage the creation of substantiation evidence, clearance/acceptance documentation that meets the demand for the project. Extract Manufacturing/Installation/ Test and Commissioning requirements from the engineering teams Define configuration hardware requirements to satisfy verification activities Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2+ years of experience in gas turbine engines; Or Master's degree in Engineering 6+ years of experience in technical project management or systems engineering; Must be a US citizen Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated project planning and management experience and ability to work without supervision on a multifunctional engineering project team Experience with the T56 or Helicopter Family of Engines Experience interfacing with customers on technical program issues Experience working CIP or other government contracted projects Knowledge of commercial engine certification/military engine qualification

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.
