We are seeking a results driven software engineer with state machine development experience using scripted languages such C++, Python, and Visual Basic.

Projects involvement:

Developing design development, performance analysis, workflow management, scheduling, process management, and other enterprise-grade solutions.

Working on server, desktop and mobile platforms.​

Requirements:

7+ years of progressive software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related discipline or 5+ years of experience with a Master of Science degree in a related field

Communications expertise including different communications protocols Modbus, CAN, etc. The handling of communications data maps and using them to integrate subsystems.

Expert at the software development process and support tools (version control, agile development such as Github, Subversion, JIRA, and software peer reviews).

Direct knowledge and experience with UPS and Battery Energy Storage System (Li Ion batteries, rectifiers, and inverters) at the MW levels.

Knowledge of NFPA and OSHA safety practices and procedures for electrical systems.

Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and related software tools MATLAB Simulink, circuit simulation, State Flow.

Experience with system physical and software layer integration and underlying engineering design techniques processes (API development, communication data exchange).

Experience with products in the field:

Support of software in electrical products deployed to the field.

Commissioning and debug of electrical products UPS and Inverters in the manufacturing/test and field environments. Grid applications and datacenters.

Failure analysis and troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with Lean Startup Methods and the creating and demonstration of Minimal Viable Product

Working knowledge of data science techniques. The handling of big data, data cleaning, and the parsing of data for later retrieval.

Regulatory and government agency requirements and testing. Working knowledge of software Functional Safety is a plus.

Experience working with the Department of Defense and Intelligence community is a plus.

Pay Range: $113,250-$181,200
