Job Description
Software Development Engineer III
Fremont, California - Onsite
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, unit test, and deploy firmware and software modules on embedded systems to control new HWs in custom-designed solutions; Develop engineering prototype SW to debug and test firmware and algorithms and optimize HW functionality; Create and test HW&SW interface and integrate control firmware and software modules into the unified production SW codebase; Work on CIP and maintenance of existing products' firmware and software; Document technical details of firmware and software operation (e.g., FW/SW requirement documents, release notes, user guides and help files); Effectively communicate firmware/software changes and impact to internal or external users and customers; Provide timely updates to management; Up to 20% domestic and international travel based on the business need. Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering with 5 years of experience relevant semiconductor industry experience in the area of digital signal processing, machine control for metrology, inspection, and sensing instruments; or Master's Degree degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering with 3 years of relevant semiconductor industry experience in the area of digital signal processing, machine control for metrology, inspection, and sensing instruments Expertise in programming, testing, and integration of embedded devices; Excellent C/C++ coding skills for firmware and software development; Experience with .Net/C# software development; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Good English writing and oral communication skills;
Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
Salary Ranges $154,125.01 - $191,374.95
Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
