The Nurse Supervisor's primary responsibility is to coordinate, monitor and direct nursing care in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC). This includes hiring, training, and managing ASC personnel, and ensuring surgical cases are scheduled and staffed appropriately.

We are looking for someone who can: Responsible for safety and risk management programs, verifying OSHA requirements are met; resolves observed or suspected safety violations, hazards or non-compliance Manages staffing schedules; prepares daily assignments, delegating duties according to experience and skill level; approves timecards and paid time off requests Develops performance competences, oversees employee orientation and training, and conducts performance reviews Participates in coaching and disciplining ASC staff Oversees inventory control processes Serves as a liaison between patients, families, nursing and medical staff to coordinate quality patient care Recommends revision of patient care policies and procedures as necessary to conform to accepted principles and practices Promotes favorable image of the facility to physicians, patients, insurance companies and the general public; strives to create ease of access for both patients and physicians
Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Nursing Five (5) years' nursing experience Two (2) years' supervisory experience Current RN license in Tennessee BLS certification
Preferred: Prior experience working in a surgery center ACLS certification
The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical practice software, with knowledge of data entry and coding software. Organizational skills with attention to detail are required in addition to strong communication skills and can lead staff with patience and confidence.
