We’re looking for a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to support our growing organization in managing our financial systems. This role requires expertise in DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) regulations and will initially be part-time, with the possibility of full-time based on performance and business demands. You’ll be instrumental in setting up QuickBooks accounts for our primary and two affiliated companies.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain QuickBooks Online accounts for multiple entities (one primary and two affiliates).
- Ensure all accounting processes adhere to DCAA guidelines.
- Handle routine bookkeeping activities, including transaction recording, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, assist with audits, and maintain well-organized records.
- Recommend improvements to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of DCAA requirements.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, especially in account setup and management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Availability to start on a part-time basis, with flexibility for growth into full-time.
- Must be located in Houston, TX (remote work).
