Recruiter
Pay Rate: Starting at $19 + DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Paid Holidays
Permanent / Full Time
Location: Houston, TX 77073
PrideStaff Houston is currently looking to hire a Recruiter for our Northeast Houston office . Recruiters within PrideStaff are part of a sales, recruiting and placement team, and focus specifically on administrative, clerical, and light industrial recruitment and client development. PrideStaff Recruiters connect clients and job seekers through sales and recruiting efforts, and successfully matching talented professionals with top companies in the area.
Recruiter Primary Responsibilities:
- To be the first person to answer incoming telephone calls and greet visitors.
- Screen applicant resumes and determine best fit for job opportunities
- Conduct phone interviews, in person interviews and guide applicants through the onboarding process.
- To input accurately all necessary candidate information into Bullhorn our applicant tracking system.
- To audit employee time cards for accuracy.
- To ensure quality service by handling Client and employee matters courteously, properly and efficiently.
- Format resumes.
- Submit properly vetted and qualified candidates to clients
- Schedule candidates for client interviews.
- Process employment verifications and documents in Bullhorn.
- Handle and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by the Strategic-Partner.
- Conduct background and reference checks on potential employees.
- Make Internal Sales Calls

Recruiting Assistant - Additional Qualifications:
- Must have a thorough understanding of light industrial job roles and have the ability to match candidate qualifications from resumes with job requirements.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree is preferred or can be substitued by equivalent experience
- HS Diploma or GED is required for all employees
- High level of computer literacy in Word, Excel and email software.
- Experience in Recruiting for light industrial and clerical positions is highly preferred
Language Skills
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently in writing and verbally
- Ability to Speak and Read/Write Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
- Be able to read job descriptions and interpret matching requirements in candidate resumes
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to make decisions of sound judgment according to company policy.
- Ability to deal with problems involving clients or employees.
- Ability to review candidate experience and qualifications and client job requirements to determine best fit.
