Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Security Systems Manager to oversee security for voice and data networks in the DoE Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS). This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Lead a team of network security administrators to maintain and securely operate LAN, WAN, telecommunications, and voice systems. Conduct cyber security vulnerability network security scanning using current approved cyber security tools such as ACAS scan tool, current SIEM system, data security analytics, and HBSS to monitor/identify network and system vulnerabilities. Scan unclassified/classified servers, devices, and workstations on the networks to validate compliance in accordance with the cyber security vulnerability assessment program. Support the Government in ensuring compliance with the RMF and NIST standards. Ensure compliance of server and workstation STIG on the unclassified and classified networks by conducting consistent validation checks. Provide information and validate compliance through the use of approved cyber security tools, to include STIGs and configuration guidelines, ACAS, HBSS, and other cyber tools. Qualifications 10 years experience including at least 5 years managing network security systems for LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice systems. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Cisco and/or CISSP certifications a plus. Experience leading teams of network security administration or network administrators. Familiarity with a variety of the network security concepts, practices, and procedures. Able to coordinate with stakeholders of major systems of events such as application upgrades, hardware upgrades, deployments, load tests, and launches. Able to provide technical advisement to bordering networks. Familiar with Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) standards. Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current DoD Top Secret or DoE Q clearance.
