Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our clients healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. This role requires a blend of technical accounting skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of the unique challenges in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist:

Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely.

Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and patient billing accounts regularly.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

Review and verify patient billing and insurance reimbursements.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and adhere to financial guidelines.

Investigate discrepancies in patient billing and work with billing teams to resolve them.


Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist:

  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
