Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk will provide support to the finance team ensuring the accurate and timely filing of information to keep company financial records up to date, through clerical tasks such as date input, reporting, filing and organization of paper and electronic records.

The Accounting Clerk will provide support to the finance team ensuring the accurate and timely filing of information to keep company financial records up to date, through clerical tasks such as date input, reporting, filing and organization of paper and electronic records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support for staff accountants.
- Receives and records vouchers, cash and checks.
- Generates daily reports for hotel properties.
- Enters and posts financial data into ledgers, spreadsheets or accounting software.
- Checks for accuracy in reports, figures and postings.
- Reconciles and reports discrepancies found in the records.
- Assists with tax payments and filings.
- Maintains a financial filing system, keeping financial records organized and accessible.
- Locates and tracks invoices, receipts, purchase orders and other financial records.
- Assists in reconciliation of credit card billings and other accounts.
- Assists in management of accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides financial data or reports to management; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma/GED.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Able to learn and comply with financial regulations.
- Understand basic accounting principles, procedures and processes.
- Comfort/Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
- Knowledge of Yardi preferred.
