Addison Group is in search of a seasoned Accounting Specialist to join the team of our client in the manufacturing sector! They are actively seeking an experienced candidate skilled in full-cycle Accounts Receivable with experience in Accounts Payable processing, particularly in a high-volume capacity. This role entails extensive vendor communication, managing deductions, applying cash, sending out statements, lock box (ACH & Wire Transfers), discrepancy resolution, monitoring the AR aging report, and sales & use tax, and more. This is an onsite role compensating up to $31.25/hr depending on applicable experience.

Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Accounts Receivable: Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, from invoice creation to payment posting.
- Daily Payment Applications: Apply daily payments received via Lockbox, Bank Run Checks, ACH, and Wire transfers.
- AR Aging Report: Monitor and track the AR Aging Report weekly, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding invoices.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies and disputes related to billing and payments by coordinating with vendors and internal departments.
- Deductions Management: Identify, investigate, and resolve deductions and short payments, maintaining detailed records.
- Sales & Use Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate calculation and timely submission of sales and use taxes.
- Vendor Communication: Maintain strong relationships with vendors through regular communication, addressing their inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Credit and Collections: Perform credit evaluations, set credit limits, and manage collections for overdue accounts.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process by preparing and posting AR journal entries, and reconciling AR-related accounts.
- Report Generation: Generate and analyze AR-related reports to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable functions, preferably within the construction industry. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Full-Cycle Processing: Extensive knowledge and experience in full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processing, including invoice receipt, verification, posting, and payment processing.
- High-Volume Environment: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-volume environment, handling many invoices and transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Vendor Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, address payment inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
