About Our Client

Our client is a consumer goods, media and entertainment company in Los Angeles. They are looking to hire an assistant accounting manager, to work across the accounting team and support the VP of Accounting.

Job Description
  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audits as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff to foster professional growth and ensure accurate reporting.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in the media or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A proactive attitude and a passion for contributing to a collaborative team


What's on Offer

Salary $100,000 to $130,000 plus benefits
