Position Summary
The Grants Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of Grant-related accounting projects and tasks. The key responsibilities will involve agreement and general ledger management, grants administration, invoice review, assisting in audit prep, budget data entries, assigning of Grant Activity Code in Sage, budget versus actual management, account analysis, and reconciliations.
Reportability
The Grants Accounting Coordinator will report to the Director of Grants and Contracts.

Language Requirement - Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.Additional language proficiency or fluency preferred.
Physical Demands - Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Work Environment - Mostly in a typical office and/or home setting with quiet to moderate noise level.May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions. Opportunity to work a hybrid schedule - remotely & onsite, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential duties Include, but not limited to the following:
- Prepares weekly updates and reconciliation on customer aging for analysis with the Director of Grants and Contracts.
- Tracks, updates and notifies Grants team daily on grant-related events.
- Assigns codes/updates and records information into Accounting system daily.
- Assists in processing coding and recording invoices into Accounting system.
- Works with General Ledger team and Grant Accountants on reconciliation reviews, codes/updates and corrects information/transactions in Accounting system.
- Maintains grant invoice filing system, ensuring the invoices are reconciled/processed monthly, quarterly, and annually due to the grantors in time.
- Maintains a filing system for all grants, accounts receivables and invoices.
- Maintains a filing system for grant agreements, budgets and all grant related documentation.
- Assembles financial/grant data for audits. Assists the Grant Accountants and the Accounting team with other month-end reporting documentation as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned by Director of Grants and Contracts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Associate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent with two (2) years of related experience.
- Ability to effectively use Sage Intacct, Microsoft Windows; Proficient in Excel, Accounting Software, preferably Sage Intacct.
- Previous experiences in a grant-related position/NGO/similar organization preferred.
- Typing speed and accuracy, attention to detail, organizational skills with the ability to stay focused on assigned tasks, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
