Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
MassBay Community College seeks qualified part timeinstructors for the current and future semesters to teach courses in Accountingand/or related fields. Our adjunct instructors hold a master's degree in arelated discipline and have obtained appropriate certification and/or licensurewhere applicable.
The idealcandidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and promoting success among adiverse student population.The candidate is expected to commit toexcellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professionaldevelopment.Adjunct faculty areexpected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environmentconductive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member inthis position communicates consistently and effectively with students, facultyand administrators, and responds to communications within a 24-hour period oftime. The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timelygrading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback withassignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.

- Prepare syllabi and develop curricula to address course/program requirements, and student learning outcomes to meet graduation competencies as appropriate;
- Use appropriate assessmentmethods consistently and regularly to measure student understanding;
- Maintain excellentcommunication with students, department, and division staff throughout thesemester;
- Engagein professional development activities to maintain excellence in teachingand learning;
- Submitmidterm and final grade reports, attendance records, early alerts, andother reports pertaining to assigned courses by required due dates;
- Carryout other related duties as assigned by the Dean consistent with theCollective Bargaining Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Master's degree in related field;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Community College experience preferred;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body;
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to promote and evaluate student learning;
- Demonstrated ability to use information technology effectively.
