Responsibilities:
Consults with business users to gather business requirements to bridge the needs of the business with the use of IT. This includes determining client and organizational needs, system and operational requirements, downstream system impacts, and legal & compliance obligations.
- Works with end user to complete business requirements for multiple and/or high company profile projects.
- Provides Subject Matter Expertise and deep functional product expertise, including upstream/downstream impact of changes.
- Able to make multiple recommendations on how to improve the business processes/workflow.
- Acts in a consultative role to provide resolutions to complex problems.
- Forms strong customer relationships and has good understanding of how corporation/company operates.
- Develops & executes test plans on assigned projects.
- Assists with resource & project planning.
- Leads meetings regarding projects, enhancements and support.
- Travel for this position is up to 15%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years BA/P&C/functional experience. Understands P&C insurance systems and business processes.
- Must have demonstrated the capability of meeting the key functions/responsibilities of the position.
- Software Development Life Cycle experience, including Agile.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and concepts.
- Working knowledge of Jira.
- Requires little oversight.
