Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our team. This internship is ideal for students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, International Supply Chain & Logistics, Supply Chain & Operations, or Supply Chain Management & Analytics. The intern will work on a variety of projects ranging from supplier scorecard creation to managing factory supplies, supporting logistics, and collaborating on cross-departmental initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the implementation and sustainability of process standardization across various plant operations. Complete the development of the supplier scorecard, which is used to evaluate and monitor supplier performance. Collaborate with the procurement and quality teams to ensure the scorecard captures key metrics and is ready for deployment. Develop and implement a program to request updated Safety Data Sheets (SDS) from vendors annually. Create templates for email communications and maintain a tracking system for SDS compliance. Conduct a thorough review of the current Transportation Management System (TMS) used for shipping and logistics. Identify areas for improvement and work with the logistics team to optimize shipping processes. Manage the ordering of factory supplies through the Kanban system for both plant sites. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of supplies to prevent operational disruptions. Potentially work with the Governance team to support projects that align with both Supply Chain and Governance needs (subject to approval). Assist in aligning policies and procedures between the departments. Contribute to projects within the SIOP framework to support supply chain planning, forecasting, and inventory management. Collaborate with the planning team to improve demand forecasting and supply chain alignment. Travel and connect with interns from across the company at the Steel Partners intern summit. Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing your internship experience and key learnings. Education and Experience Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, International Supply Chain & Logistics, Supply Chain & Operations, or Supply Chain Management & Analytics. Experience or coursework related to supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control. Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Kanban systems is a plus. Knowledge of SIOP processes and best practices.
