We are looking for a diligent Finance Supervisor to join our team in Abingdon, Virginia. As a Finance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing various accounting tasks, overseeing financial activities, and leading a small team within the manufacturing industry.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Coordinate the payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.

• Conduct cost accounting tasks and perform variance analysis to identify any discrepancies.

• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected in the financial records.

• Lead the month-end close process, reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements.

• Develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial predictions for the organization.

• Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for business improvements.

• Manage inventory records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Lead a small accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data and generate reports.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial supervisory role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven track record in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Ability to handle Journal Entries and Month End Close
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Experience in conducting Annual Inventory
• Proficiency in Variance Analysis
• Experience with Epicor software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• A University Degree in a relevant field
