Title: Junior Systems Administrator
Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, this position provides tier II support for all end user desktop technology needs, including computer, telephone, and peripheral devices. In addition to desktop technology support, the position is also required to provide operational maintenance and support functions for several of the companies' internal business operations systems. Up to 15% travel is involved.

Title: Junior Systems Administrator
Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, this position provides tier II support for all end user desktop technology needs, including computer, telephone, and peripheral devices. In addition to desktop technology support, the position is also required to provide operational maintenance and support functions for several of the companies' internal business operations systems. Up to 15% travel is involved.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide tier 2 end-user support, resolving technical issues, and aid with all operating systems.
- Maintain a secure environment for sensitive customer, prospect, and organizational trade secret data.
- Setup new hires in Active Directory, M365, and access to the company's systems
- Monitor security updates for all Windows operating systems and apply patches monthly or as needed
- Maintain VMware infrastructure at Corporate, Datacenters including upgrading, provisioning and patching hosts
- Onboarding of company and employee-owned devices into AirWatch MDM or Microsoft Intune
- Work and maintain M365 tenant and Azure tenants
- Build, configure, update Windows Server 2016 and higher OS on all corporate and datacenter servers
- Support Veritas backup hardware and offsite tape backup
- Work with 3rd party vendors for support and maintenance
- Manage and automate infrastructure using Terraform
- Implement and manage Azure services and resources
- Administer and support Microsoft Intune for device management
- Work with 3rd party vendors to support company applications
- Administer the corporate RingCentral phone system
- Maintain all corporate networking infrastructures
- Provide onboarding for end users onto corporate Aruba Wi-Fi
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as moving computers and servers
- Installation and configuration network and local printers
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
- Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
- Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
- Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the following skills is required with skill level as noted:
- Windows 10 - Expert
- Active Directory - Intermediate
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and above - Intermediate
- MS Office, Office 365 - Intermediate
- RingCentral Phone system or other cloud-based phone system - Beginner
- Windows security updates and/or WSUS/SCCM - Intermediate
- Ticketing systems such as Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow - Intermediate
- Veritas backup solution - Beginner
- VMware - Intermediate
- Azure - Beginner
- PowerShell - Beginner
- Networking - Beginner
- Terraform - Beginner
- Microsoft Intune - Beginner
- Prior practical experience in the following areas is considered relevant to the position as indicated:
- Proficiency in supporting Windows 10, Server 2016, 2019, Active Directory, DNS, POP, and SMTP - Mandatory
- All areas of network management, including knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, Trunking) and routing architecture - Desirable
- Basic understanding of firewalls and VPN - Desirable
- Experience working on large enterprise projects - Desirable
- Excellent communication skills - Mandatory
- Linux systems administration - Useful
