Report Times: 8:15 am to 2:45 pm, daily

Daily Hours: 6.5 hours a day

Work Year: ESY 2025

Supervisor: District Medical Director

TENTATIVE DATES: July 7th through August 15, 2025

(Must be available one day between June 30th - July 3rd to receive medications)

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE ENTIRE SUMMER SESSION (Tentative dates are July 7th to August 15th, 2025).

Civil Service Title: (Civil Service Title: Licensed Practical Nurse)

Minimum Requirements:

Possession of a valid New York State Registered Professional.

Nursing (RN) license or valid New York State Licensed Professional Nursing (LPN) license.

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of practical nursing techniques;

• Computer skills; able to type reports as needed;

• Have a desire to work with elementary/secondary school students with disabilities;

• Ability to accurately record and report health/medical information;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Strong interpersonal skills;

• Professional CPR/AED;

• Ability to work with students and parents.

  Position Summary/Responsibilities:

• ­Performs medical and/or emergency treatments of injuries and illness of students and staff as required;

• Dispenses medications as needed;

• Daily attendance is expected;

• Other duties as assigned.
