What We're Looking For:

Santé is seeking a Part-Time Peer Support Specialist to join our frontline Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) team in Easton, MD. As the Peer Specialist, you will be paired with a Clinician as a 2-person team responding to requests for crisis stabilization for youth and their caregivers in the local community. As a team, you will work together to assess, evaluate, and perform crisis intervention techniques, develop crisis and treatment plans for the identified youth and serve as the liaison for collaboration with involved parties, including families and community partners up to an 8-week time period.

What You'll Do:

  • Promote youth and caregiver's health, self-direction, skill development, and ensure goals are developed for long-term stabilization.
  • Provide education and resources to youth and their caregivers including but not limited to, community resources, family peer support services, support groups and networks.
  • Serve as an advocate for youth and their caregivers
  • Assist in the wraparound planning processes and the development of crisis and other youth and family-driven plans for a warm hand-off to longer-term services and programs.
  • Partner with youth, family/caregivers and other community agencies to broker positive relationships over an 8-12-week time period
  • Attend community stakeholder meetings as pertains to the involved youth
What We Require:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one (1) year professional experience (experience working with children and families in a community-based program preferred).
  • Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment (Sante will pay for your certification if you do not have it at the time of hire).
  • Three (3) years personal lived experience caring for a child with behavior dysregulation, a mental health diagnosis, or dealing with a co-occurring disorder.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance.
