Position Summary:
CCMR District Advisor is responsible for the implemenation and execution of programs that contribute to high school completion and assure the effective transition of ResponsiveEd graduates to their post-secondary plans. The position involves working virutally, and in-person with existing campus councelors, students and families to support already existing campus counseling systems. Program oversight includes: planning, tracking and reporting campus college readiness activities, coordinating student/parent engagement events related to college readiness and choice, as well as significant involvement in the continuous improvement of the ResponsiveEd college and career knowledge base. This position will support 8 high schools in the DFW area, 5 high schools in the Houston area, and other individual high schools located in Amarillo, El Paso and Austin.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a recognized four-year college or university.
- 3+ years' experience working in an educational setting
- School leadership experience preferred
- Experience working with Early College High Schools preferred.
- Candidates will ideally be located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area
- Awareness of House Bill 5 which focuses on building college and career pathways that ensures all professional decisions and actions are directly linked to helping all students succeed in high school, college and their chosen career.
- Knowledge of the CCMR requirements for state accountability.
- Ability to engage with parents, students, district staff, and community stakeholders to create excitement and engagement in college and career planning.
- Proficient in computer applications and supporting software (particularly Google apps).
- Knowledge of the college application and admissions process and requirements.
- Knowledge of financial aid processes and requirements (FAFSA and TASFA).
- Familiarity with collegiate resources geared toward first generation students and families.
- Skills in communicating effectively with others including making oral and written presentations.
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to frequently travel to campuses across the state with overnight stays, if necessary.
- The ability to maintain relationships and communications with multiple campus leaders.
- Support existing campus counselors with preparing students with skills for career and college development.
- Collaborates with Campus Directors to form strategies for positively impacting student TSI achievement and postsecondary planning.
- Interprets and provides student data to district and campus personnel with regard to post-secondary outcome results.
- Develops partnerships with non-district personnel and institutions of higher learning to augment the resources available to students through the school transition program including, but not limited to, dual credit opportunities, institutions of higher education, college/career fairs, and financial aid events.
- Develops College and Career Pathways unique to the needs of students in collaboration with the campus staff and CTE coordinators.
- Builds common visions for program improvement with Alumni Coordinator and CCMR Manager.
- Oversees administration of testing associated with the college admissions process (TSIA, SAT, ACT, PSAT and AP exams).
- Provides district leadership in current college admissions practices by staying up-to-date on all standardized testing used in the admissions process, as well as, collaborating with standardized testing agencies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with college admissions offices, recruiters from two and four year colleges, trade schools, military, and alternative programs.
- Collaborates with Campus Directors to plan and coordinate parent and community informational meetings regarding dual credit opportunities, advanced academics, etc.
- Connects all assigned students to school and community resources that help overcome barriers and provides successful transitions from high school to the best college, career or military pathway for postsecondary success.
- Oversee and support CCMR attainment with regard to accountability.
- All other duties as assigned.
