We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Social Media Summer Intern to join our dynamic social media team. This internship offers a unique opportunity for college students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in community management, content creation, and social media strategy across various platforms.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Community Management:
    • Monitor and respond to DMs, comments, and mentions across our social media platforms (Instagram, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
    • Engage with our online community and foster positive interactions.
  • Content Support:
    • Assist with the creation and execution of last-minute social communications for webinars, sales promotions, and other events.
    • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop engaging content.
  • Social Listening & Trend Monitoring:
    • Stay up-to-date on social media trends, potential algorithm changes, and audience preferences.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on trending topics and audience engagement.
  • Content Uploading:
    • Manage the manual uploading of content to various social media channels.
    • Ensure all posts are optimized for engagement and visibility.
  • On-Camera Content Creation:
    • Be comfortable being on camera for potential reels and other content formats.
    • Help brainstorm and create visually appealing video content that resonates with our audience.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Contribute insights and ideas when the social team is consulted on other brands within the CooperSurgical umbrella.
    • Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborate on projects.
Qualifications
  • Current university student entering junior or senior year, or recent graduate with a passion for social media and digital communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with content creation or community management is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous experience with graphic design and familiarity with Canva is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be comfortable being on camera and engaging with an audience.
