Role DescriptionForm Energy is hiring an Associate Manager to lead the buildout of custom test stands which are used in the testing and validation of our iron air battery technology.This role reports into the manager of Test Execution within the Development Testing organization. As part of our Test Execution team, you will lead a group of technicians in the timely execution of battery cell and module test stand builds, through strong collaboration with the Test Infrastructure design team. This role will be responsible for supporting the scale up of test lab infrastructure, improving operational processes, reducing build times, setting performance metrics across the team, and managing personnel. What you'll do:-
Manage a team of technicians by providing them tactical directions for fabricating, assembling, commissioning, and iterating on test infrastructure projects

Instill operational best practices to reduce build timelines, increase consistency and improve throughput metrics of Test Execution team
Oversee build space operations while maintaining environmental health and safety (EHS) and 5S best practices
Forecast constraints and problems in project execution and come up with creative, budget-friendly solutions. Seek approval from executive management if necessary
Adhere to Form's manager expectations including overseeing timekeeping, performance management, and professional development for all team members

2+ years of experience in managing a team of technicians or engineers in an operations team supporting new product development
Experience managing a variety of projects with a diverse group of stakeholders
Operational excellence to improve throughput and/or quality of a product
Strategic vision to build a long term plan and projection of future needs to inform resource planning and budgeting
Excellent communication and organizational skills for collaboration across functions
Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
