Job Responsibilities

The Engineer – Facilities, Pipeline & Installations will serve as an integral member of the Production team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Project Management: Oversee pipeline and facility projects from conception to operations
    • Project recommendations, cost estimates, economic evaluations
    • Scope of work and contract document preparation
    • Material and equipment delivery coordination
    • Permit coordination: air, stream, earth disturbance, building, noise
    • Management of third-party construction contractors
    • Management of third-party field inspectors
    • Cost tracking and forecasting
    • Invoice review and approval
  • Engineering: Perform the design, engineering, and specification for new facilities and equipment and manage third-party engineering firms as required
    • MAOP calculations, DOT 192 code interpretation and compliance
    • Regulator, pressure control, and overpressure protection design, sizing, and selection
    • Pipe design and specification
    • Material and equipment specification
    • Process control design
    • Cause and effect diagrams
    • P&ID development and redlining
    • Mechanical drawing review and redlining
  • Operations: Oversee the operations of the company pipelines and facilities and be the primary point contact for troubleshooting
    • Commissioning of pipeline and facilities
    • Technical writing of procedures
    • Field operator training
    • Troubleshooting equipment and process issues (e.g. compression, dehydration, filtration, hydrates, emissions, contaminants, etc.)
    • Management of pipeline, facility, and compression operation
    • Management of field data collection for various reporting requirements
    • Trending operations data to detect problems and inefficiencies
    • Incident reporting and response
  • Modeling: Provide pipeline and compression models to facilitate asset development decisions and plan forecasting
    • Periodic pipeline and compression modeling
    • Compressor configuration review and recommendation
    • Front end project scoping and analysis
    • Coordination with NFG Midstream and third-party gathering companies
  • DOT and Company Compliance
    • Recordkeeping for new construction projects and management of electronic records
    • Management of operating and capital budgets
    • Annual state reporting and audits
    • Public Awareness program management
    • Operator Qualification program management
    • DOT Operating Procedures Manual management
    • Pipeline Class Location studies
    • PHMSA pipeline jurisdictional evaluations
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrates active and regular involvement in EHSQ program
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred mechanical or petroleum)
  • 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly conscientious
  • Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records and maintenance of physical and electronic record systems for compliance with Corporate, Federal, and State requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel
  • Knowledge of and experience with gas pipeline and compressor station operations, maintenance, and construction activities
  • Detailed knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 including code interpretations, inspection protocols, audit practices, and operations and maintenance procedures and documentation ensure compliance is preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Ariel Performance Program and Visual Basic coding is preferred

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
