PROJECT ENGINEER

Our innovative development and technical expertise allow us to continually improve our solutions and support our customers throughout the entire project lifecycle. We are currently searching for a dynamic, self-starting Project Engineer to support multiple departments.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of equipment that matches customer specifications and SOW per assigned project.
  • Assists the Project Manager in organizing and supervising/monitoring all engineering activities.
  • Conduct design review meetings with internal/external design resources & customers.
  • Create, review and track process deliverables. Schedule and facilitate internal reviews and customer reviews. Review layouts and designs with Design Vendors/Engineering Department.
  • Review and release of all mechanical and controls designs to manufacturing.
  • Ensures all As Built and Non- Conformances are updated on drawings as supplied by Build Supervisors and Site Supervisors.
  • Ensures designs are cost effective.
  • Documentation of project related information both internally and externally.
  • Create bid specifications for 3rd party vendors of tooling & equipment that meet customer requirements.
  • Support installation on customer floor as required.
  • Conduct customer design, build, and integration buyoffs.
  • Maintain understanding of as sold SOW and initiate ECR as needed.
  • Manage several on-going projects concurrently.
Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Five or more years related experience in automotive tooling manufacturing related experience in specific business segment such as automated assembly machines, BIW, chassis, glass or robotic welding, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to review CAD models and/or experience with Team Center
