CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION TECHNOLOGIST (Per Diem) - Temple Health/Jeanes Hospital

• Performs and/or assists with direct patient care; performs sheath removal;

performs, records and interprets hemodynamic waveforms and

electrocardiograhic tracings. The position is responsible for monitoring and

stocking inventory and assisting with patient transfer. The Technologist

prepares, maintains and operates sophisticated radiologic equipment including

cineangiographic, fluorographic, digital image recording, laser and

electrophysiology equipment. in a safe and responsible manner. Assists

physician in performing diagnostic and interventional, cardiac and peripheral

catheterizations. Assists in the monitoring of quality control program.

Education

• Associates Degree : in Radiologic Studies (Required)

• Non Degree Program : Approved Cardiovascular Technology Program

(Required)

• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of

degree.

Licenses and Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)

• BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)

• ICVT - Intervent Cardiovasc Techgst (Required) or RCIS - Reg Cardio Invasive

Specialist (Required)

Experience

• 1 Year experience as a cardiac cath or interventional radiology technologist

(Preferred)
