Contracts/Procurement Administrator negotiates and administers assigned contracts, subcontracts and required changes thereto, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and prime contract requirements. Responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating, and revising contracts and subcontracts that involve the purchase or sale of goods or services. The Contract/Procurement Administrator will provide counsel on a wide range of contractual and business issues involving the interpretation and application of company contracting, subcontracting and procurement policies and procedures. The Contract/Procurement Administrator will work on subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms of the procurement of specialized IT and Engineering services.
This position would be fully remote and the work would be as needed for a small company with less than a dozen active contracts, but rapidly growing.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Effectively and successfully manages vendor, service provider, supplier, and customer contracts.
- Prepare and execute NDAs, Subcontract and Teaming Agreements.
- Participates in negotiating terms and conditions for numerous types of agreements and contracts (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Purchase Orders, Subcontracts, Joint Ventures, etc.).
- Serve as an effective advisor and partner to the program managers and other business functions on contractual matters.
- Researches, analyzes and makes recommendations relative to contracts, procurement, and related laws and regulations (including but not limited to FAR, DFARS, contract clauses and requirements).
- Coordinate with accounting and finance department in administering subcontract invoicing and payments, job cost management and closeout process.
- Support the Delivery Team in the administration of the companies GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQs, MACC and BPAs
- Develop and maintain procurement files, including monitoring and tracking subcontractor deliverables.
- Maintains detailed and organized files for contracts, which will generally include the original contract, correspondences, authorizations, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules, etc.
- Ensures that the company is in compliance with contractual and legal requirements, owner specifications, and government regulations.
- Prepares and disseminates information to appropriate employees regarding contract status.
- Identifies, analyzes and mitigates risk, while working to ensure business goals are achieved.
- Requests amendments or modifications to contracts as required.
- Bachelor's Degree, or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in prime contract and subcontract administration in the area of government services
- Knowledge of contract and subcontract principles and fundamentals and FAR/DFARS and associated U.S Government regulations is required
- Knowledge of administering GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs and BPAs is preferred
- Experience with administering unpopulated Joint Ventures is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, organization, and time management skills.
- Must be able to work on many different projects at one time in a team environment.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) in using and developing documents, spreadsheets are required.
- CPCM Certification is preferred
- Rate $55 to $85 per hour
The position is a contract position, paid as 1099, and is a work-from-home opportunity with flexibility and autonomy. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, independent, possess excellent communication skills, and doesn't mind getting digging in to situations that might not have a lot of policies or procedures established. Consultants are paid once a month and are paid at the end of the month for the prior month's work. Please take note of this payment schedule.
