Summary This position serves as an Administrative Specialist, located in the U.S. Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Consolidated Executive Office. CEO provides administrative support to various senior management, leadership and JMD organizations in the areas of personnel, procurement, facilities, telecommunications, and IT. The primary purpose of this position is to perform a wide range of administrative duties in the areas of procurement, property management and facilities. As an Administrative Specialist, you may be responsible for: Provides administrative support in procurement, property management, and facilities. Prepares and initiates requisitions for the purchase, repair, and upgrading of equipment. Prepares reimbursable agreements for facilities requests, and prepare contract renewals for recurring equipment needs. Purchases supplies and services from a variety of contractors using acquisition procedures. Serves as Accountable Property Officer (APO), ensuring property is properly documented. Coordinates and processes transit subsidy and parking requests for employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the position of Administrative Specialist at (GS-0301-11), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. To Qualify for GS-0301-11: Specialized Experience: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Performs administrative duties in areas of procurement or property management; 2) Prepares or initiate requisitions for purchasing, repairing, or upgrading equipment; AND 3) Maintains files, records, or inventories on office supplies or property. OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M, if related; OR A combination of education and specialized experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. You must have some specialized experience as described above in number 1 but less than one year; and have more than two years, but less than three years of education as described in number 2. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year by 36. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including Time-in-Grade, by the closing date of this announcement, 12/16/2024.
