Construction Superintendent

Ascendant is recruiting qualified candidates for a Construction Superintendent position to support Federal programs in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, and controls field operations for assigned construction projects.
• Leads, manages, and coordinates the construction workforce (Ascendant personnel and subcontractors) to ensure that quality, schedule, budget, and safety targets are achieved.
• Foster relationships with fellow Ascendant project team members, clients, and subcontractor partners.

• Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction, and or interior fit out.
• Demonstrated understanding of building plans, specifications, and construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of commercial and institutional buildings and related site work.
• Effective communication skills with all project stakeholders.
• Federal Government project experience is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance.
