Job Title: Marketing Intern Department: Marketing Reports to: Marketing Coordinator Position Summary: The Marketing Intern will assist with the grassroots and traditional marketing efforts of FC Cincinnati. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong collaboration are three of the main components that foster success in this position. The intern in this position should be prepared to work no more than 20 in-office hours along with all home FC Cincinnati matches. There may be weekend, evenings, and holiday hours required based on the season schedule. This internship takes place between late January to late May of 2025 with the opportunity of extension up to the FC Cincinnati post-season. This is a paid internship and college credit is available. What You'll Do:
  • Assist with FC Cincinnati's brand engagement programs including the Pub Partner program, presented by Coors Light, and the FC Cincinnati College Ambassador Program.
  • Assist with game-day and event preparation for FC Cincinnati home matches including working at the club's in-stadium marketing booth, the Fan Stand.
  • Build campaigns in Tradable Bits, assisting with data collection opportunities at community engagement events.
  • Provide input to marketing projects and campaigns focusing on further expanding the brand and community presence of FC Cincinnati.
  • Support MLS Season Pass promotions in-stadium and within the greater Cincinnati area.
  • Oversee two campaign implementations during the calendar year supporting the goals of the Marketing Department.
  • Participate in meetings related to the promotion of the FC Cincinnati programs and provide suggestions on reaching more fans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments within FC Cincinnati including Community Relations, Partnerships, Business Strategy and Analytics, and more.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with FCC fans and community members within Cincinnati.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills with adults and children.
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-direct.
  • Dedication to being a team player with a positive attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of soccer preferred but not required.
What You'll Need:
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Event Management or recently graduated from an accredited university.
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays as required by the FCC game schedule, special events, and projects.
  • Ability to pass a background check and driving record check.
