We are seeking a Business Relationship Manager to join the team. The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) plays a pivotal role within the firm's Business Transformation Office, tasked with fostering and nurturing the relationships between IT, Business, and Practices to enhance the value derived from IT assets, projects, investments, and capabilities. As a strategic partner, the BRM comprehends the business intricacies, aids in project prioritization, ensures project alignment with technology for optimal ROI, and steers IT strategy to complement the firm's overarching goals.

Acting as a conduit between IT and business units, the BRM serves as a trusted advisor to IT's internal clientele. The role demands effective communication with stakeholders across the firm to grasp their technological requirements, obstacles, and strategic objectives. The BRM champions collaboration and fosters a culture of innovation and value that mirrors the firm's business ethos.In collaboration with various practices and departments, the BRM co-creates the Global IT strategy, roadmap, and budgetary planning. Working in unison with the IT Leadership team, the BRM ensures that IT platforms and solutions are attuned to the firm's present and prospective needs. This is accomplished through a deep understanding of business priorities, portfolio management, demand prioritization, partnership for consistent technical delivery, and advocating for both business necessities and the global IT strategy across all stakeholder domains.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global law firm, preferably with extensive knowledge of the processes and workflows that are utilized by Conflicts departments. Specific experience and knowledge around New Business Intake processes is very critical to this role.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The Business Relationship Manager reports directly to the Director of the Business Transformation Office. The Business Relationship Manager will have strong and trusted relationships with the following: Chiefs, Senior Administrators outside of IT, IT Leadership, Directors of Practice Operations, AISG Team, Project Management Office, Change Management Office, Strategy and Governance Office, Practice Area Leaders, Practice Group Coordinators and Business Sponsors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Cultivate and sustain value-added relationships with departments and practices.
• Set and maintain regular and dependable cadence for internal client engagements.
• Work with internal clients to understand, document and support their priorities, strategies and initiatives in a collaborative manner to deliver successful outcomes.
• Deliver solutions in a timely manner, aligned with customer needs and objectives.
• Use consistent processes, metrics and tools to communicate monthly/quarterly initiative progress and project updates to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and report key metrics for internal departments and practices between meetings.
• Guide business leaders in articulating IT requirements to enhance business performance.
• Collaborate with change management and business transformation teams to refine processes based on internal feedback.
• Develop and manage a well-structured initiative portfolio with the PMO, tailored to specific departmental needs.
• Address and escalate issues promptly and professionally.
• Evaluate joint initiatives with business leadership for alignment with strategic roadmaps and priorities.
• Identify and track the adoption of strategic business function opportunities, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategy.
• Work with leaders to assess, sequence, and shape initiatives for strategic value.
• Promote awareness and adoption of existing technology solutions.
• Stay informed on industry and technological trends to maintain creativity and innovation.
• Prioritize value over solutions in idea development, risk evaluation, and evolving needs.
• Keep strategic allies informed about IT objectives and engage them in project-related discussions.

• Experience with project management informations systems and software such as Eclipse PPM, Microsoft Project, or ServiceNow PPM
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, information technology or related field or related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of success in developing and managing relationships with business partners and clients
• Strong analytical skills
• Previous law firm experience is a bonus

ADDITIONAL ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines
• Carrying a mobile device to accept calls and monitor email during non-work hours
• Occasional travel may be required. Travel is less than 10% of schedule.

Compensation Salary $102,000 - $155,000

The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
