The R&D Test Development Engineer is responsible to develop and implement testing procedures and systems to ensure the highest level of product quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement testing procedures and systems to ensure the highest level of product quality and reliability
  • Conduct experiments and analysis to evaluate the performance of devices and materials
  • Participate in the development of new test equipment and test methodologies
  • Continuously improve the testing process and drive improvements in testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Understand capabilities/limitations of characterization equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product specifications are met
  • Analyze test data to identify trends and potential improvements to the testing process
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related field
  • 2+ years hands-on experience in testing and development
  • Strong knowledge of physics and technology
  • Experience with optical characterization techniques, including LIV, FF, NF, and optical modulation analysis
  • Strong analytic and data analysis/mining skills via Excel, Minitab and/or JMP, python
  • Familiarity in Python for equipment control and data analysis
  • Familiarity with PCB layout tools is desirable, but not required
  • Knowledge of laser safety regulations and standards
  • Familiarity with DOE, SPC, GR&R
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
