About the Team & Role:
As a Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Intern, you will have the opportunity to assist and learn across a variety of Human Resources functions, including Recruitment and Talent Acquisition. You will work closely with the HR team to support the full recruitment lifecycle and contribute to efforts in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent. Additionally, you will gain exposure to HR administrative tasks and employee engagement initiatives.

This is a for academic credit internship. Applicants must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field and eligible for academic credit. The internship will focus on hands on learning opportunities to gain exposure to a dynamic Human Resources function in a startup environment.

About the Team & Role:
As a Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Intern, you will have the opportunity to assist and learn across a variety of Human Resources functions, including Recruitment and Talent Acquisition. You will work closely with the HR team to support the full recruitment lifecycle and contribute to efforts in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent. Additionally, you will gain exposure to HR administrative tasks and employee engagement initiatives.
What You'll Learn:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in posting job openings on various platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, company website).
- Screen and review resumes and applications.
- Help coordinate interviews and schedule meetings between candidates and hiring managers.
- Learn to conduct initial phone screenings with candidates and evaluate basic qualifications.
- Support in preparing interview kits and candidate feedback forms.
- Research and identify potential candidates through various sourcing channels (social media, job boards, networking events).
- Maintain and update candidate databases and applicant tracking systems.
- Assist in outreach efforts for passive candidates.
- Assist in preparing onboarding materials and ensuring a smooth new hire experience.
- Help organize and facilitate virtual or in-person onboarding sessions.
- Track and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, filing documents, and preparing reports.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Help with HR data entry and maintain employee records.
What You Bring:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Recruitment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HR software or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with candidates and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
